Mancino’s Pizzeria and Restaurant

Mancino’s Pizzeria and Restaurant, Denville, New Jersey

Today the Colonial Musketeers Senior Corps kicked off Memorial Day weekend in Morris Plains – a well-run, well-attended parade.  The parade is preceded by a beautiful ceremony remembering fallen service men and women and honoring their loved ones.  I am thankful for these mostly unnamed service people, and for the opportunity to live in such a great country.

After the parade we stopped at Mancino’s Pizzeria and Restaurant in Denville, which has a pleasant atmosphere and appears to be recently renovated.  Of course its best feature is its ice cream counter (am I biased?).  They serve Gifford’s Ice Cream which is made in Maine.  I had a scoop of Peanut Butter Pie and a scoop of Fly Fishing Fudge (vanilla fudge swirl  with M&Ms, cookie dough and fudge chunks).   Ice cream was flavorful and a great ending to a wonderful parade!
